1. Hydrophobic interactions:
Interaction between the R hydrophobic groups within the interior of the protein molecules.
2. Hydrophilic interactions:
Interactions between the hydrophilic groups between the external aqueous media and the R groups of polar amino acids which are pulled out and form hydrogen bond.
3. Hydrogen bonds:
Interactions between the H atoms of polar amino acids and the O atom of another amino acid.
4. Disulfide bonds:
Interactions between the -SH and groups of cysteines in polypeptide chain of the tertiary structure of the protein.
5. Salt bridges:
Interactions between the R groups of the polar acidic or basic amino acids
