Ketogenesis occurs when the body carbohydrates are not available in enough amount to meet energy needs. In order the body to overcome this situation, it will start using the fatty acids. These fatty acids are subjected to the (  They will be then converted into the acetyl Co in abundant amount which resides in the liver.
