Amines Applications

Amines have several uses:

Amines are used to make organic azo dyes and nylon. Amines also are used to make chemicals to protect the agricultural crops, to make drug and to purify water and to make chemical care products and pharmaceutical industry.

Demerol and Morphine are used as pain killers. Ephedra is used as decongestant. Novocaine is used as an anesthetic chemical. Amphetamine and methamphetamine are used as a drug after neutralizing them with an acid and transforming them into alkylammonium salts which can be used as drugs.

Choline is very important amine in producing neurotransmitters and in making the brain functioning well.
